# Getting started and access

### Requirements

FlyHUD supports **macOS 14 or later** and **iPhone with iOS 17 or later**. Install it from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6787705132). Current App Store release: 1.3.0 on both platforms, macOS build 33 and iOS build 21. Mac was released October 13, 2026; iPhone was released October 14, 2026 (Asia/Shanghai).

Mac supports projects containing multiple videos and a batch export queue. iPhone uses a single-video draft and exports one task at a time. The phone does not include the Mac Follow template or batch queue.

### Trial and Lifetime Unlock

FlyHUD is free to download. On macOS 1.3.0 and iOS 1.3.0, claim a 30-day full-feature trial, counted from the original claim date. Updating, restoring purchases, reinstalling, or switching devices does not restart the trial. The trial does not renew or charge automatically. Earlier app versions retain their existing 7-day limit until updated. Lifetime Unlock is a one-time non-consumable in-app purchase; the current local price appears on the purchase screen. There is no subscription, permanently free editing tier, or watermark export tier.

The same Apple Account shares Lifetime Unlock and one trial across Mac and iPhone. Reinstalling, restoring purchases, or switching platforms does not restart the trial. Use **Restore Purchases** with the account that completed the purchase.

After the trial, existing projects or drafts and video previews remain available; importing, editing, and starting new exports require Lifetime Unlock. Your data is not deleted. An export already running is not stopped merely because the trial expires.

### Create your first video

1. On Mac, import a video or drag a common MP4/MOV into FlyHUD. On iPhone, choose a video using Photos or Files.
2. Import its FIT, GPX, or CSV activity, or authorize Strava and select your activity. On iPhone, Apple Watch activities are also available through Health.
3. Set rider details such as FTP and weight when the chosen metrics need them.
4. Check the detected video shooting time and activity time range. Correct the shooting time or fine adjustment if needed.
5. Choose a HUD and configure its available cards. iPhone provides **Template / HUD / Video** tools beneath the preview; edits save to the draft.
6. Preview clear events near the start, middle, and end. Matching timestamps alone do not prove picture synchronization.
7. On Mac, choose an export folder, add the clip to the queue, and start it. On iPhone, export the video and save it to Photos or share it to Files.

FlyHUD does not modify your original video or activity file. Keep Mac source files accessible while working; iPhone imports selected files into its own draft storage.
